Motion Control – maxon, high precision drive specialist, launches high-torque product innovations this Spring. These include higher performance flat motors, drives with higher torque output, and new additions to the GPX gearbox family.

Motion Control – Another addition to the EC-i family includes the, EC-i 40 High Torque 130 watt brushless motor. This drive was originally developed for power tool applications. To meet the high demand for higher-torque drives, maxon is mass producing the EC-i motor with an additional 34.8 mm in length. The versions with a fan offer up to 100 percent more power.Taunton, MA — Motion Control Components -The new, maxon EC-i 52 Power up brushless motor meets customer demands for industrial applications with higher torque. The new version of the EC-i 52 now achieves a torque of up to 1 Nm. This increase in performance is due to improved cooling, the ventilated version of the EC-i 52 Power up reaches 420 watts of nominal power.

Motion Control – X-axis, Z-axis, plus Goniometer from OES!

Van Nuys, CA – — Motion Control – An extensive series of XZG Positioning Stages (X-axis, Z-axis, and Goniometer) is the newest addition to the OES (Optimal Engineering Systems, Inc.) family of high precision motion control stages. Built to order, a user can select from any combination of linear stages with travel lengths of 15 mm, 30 mm, 50 mm, and 75 mm for both the X and Z axes that feature high precision 1 mm per turn lead screws, and if required travel lengths over 100 mm are also available. Additionally, any of three goniometers with +/-10, +/-15, +/-45 degrees of travel can be selected and mounted in a horizontal (pictured) or vertical orientation.

Additionally, four motor options are the: -01 version which has Stepper Motor driven axes, -02 version has Three Phase-Servo Motor driven Axes, -03 version has DC Servo Motor Driven Axes and -04 version has Stepper Motor Driven Axes with Quadrature Optical Encoders for position verification.

Motion Control – Linear Optical Encoder Modules!

Van Nuys, CA – Motion Control Components – Moticont has released their OEM-00125U-01 Linear Optical Encoder Module and LS-00125U-01 Linear Scale. The compact linear encoder module measures just 51.5 mm (2.027 in.) long by 5.99 mm (0.236 in.) wide by 0.8 mm (0.073 in.) high. This high, 1.25 micron resolution, low power encoder module features TTL Quadrature Outputs and requires only a single +3.3 or +5 VDC supply.

The LS-00125U-01 Linear Scale supplied is only 6 mm (0.24 in.) wide by 0.3 (0.01 in.) high and would be attached to a flat surface using PSA adhesive. The standard scale length is 76.2 mm (3.00 in.) long. The linear scale is available with lengths up to 610.0 mm (24.00 in.). The quadrature signals are output differentially. The module also features a TTL level HOME output.

Selecting a DC micromotor for use in applications from aerospace through to downhole drilling inspection, a 4pole motor has advantages. A 4pole design is stronger than a 2pole equivalent but can also fit within the same space and weight envelope.

A 4pole motor can fit within the same footprint as a 2pole design but they are able to generate more torque. (OES) has introduced the XYR-300-400 Alignment Stage offering +/- 3 micron accuracy for industrial, medical, semiconductor, production, research, and laboratory applications.  The XYR-300-400 Alignment Stage features +/- 15 mm of travel in the X and Y axes and +/- 5 degrees of rotation (theta). It moves in XY-plane and rotates around the center of the XY-plane.

The XYR-300-400 Alignment Stage feature linear resolutions of the X and Y axis of 1 micron resolution with a 10 micro-steps per step motor driver and static parallelism of less than 0.05 mm.
