The GP 6 S micro linear motion spindle drives have a diameter of six millimeters and is available with integrated ball bearings for high axial loads. Versions include metric ceramic or metal spindles.

Fall River, MA – Linear Motion Spindle Drives are the perfect solution for linear positioning systems, lens adjustment, or syringe pumps. If the drive also has to be compact, then maxon motor’s GP 6 S spindle gear is the perfect choice. To provide a cost-effective alternative to the ceramic version, it is now also available with a metal spindle.

Motion Control – Vertical Lift Stage

Van Nuys, CA – — Motion Control Components – The AT20-100 Motorized Vertical Lift Stage from Optimal Engineering Systems, Inc. (OES) is a very stable, high precision, high load vertical lift stage that can be easily integrated into almost any application. The large 120 mm x 180 mm (4.72 in. x 7.08 in.) drilled and tapped platform has a vertical travel of 100 mm (3.93 in.) and features: 3.315 µ (non- Micro-Step) resolution, 5 µ repeatability, and 15 µ positional accuracy. The precision ground lead screw, precision linear bearings, and the rigid box construction of the moving component of the elevator stage assures smooth, flat (parallel to mounting surface) vertical motion.

Motion Control – Maxon Gearheads – Great power in Compact Form!

Motion Control – Micro gearheads from maxon with improved efficiency.

Taunton, MA — Motion Control Products – Maxon has developed a unique upgrade in the form of a new product series for its standard micro gearhead: A wide range of performance improvements offer new opportunities.

The first ideas for the UP-gearhead were inspired by ESA’s Mars project ‘ExoMars’ and NASA’s ‘Mars 2020’ project, where there was a need to ensure the highest possible availability even in extreme environmental conditions.

This also directly affects further parameters of the drive system: Given the same input power, ie. using the same motor and the same motor control system, the gearhead can deliver 30% more torque.

Motion Control – ETX Bearing/Pillow Block

We needed a bearing block that would be FDA compliant, washdown compliant and…be able to take a radioactive environment. We made a motion control unitized bearing and mounting block combination that met application requirements. You won’t find this an any catalog!

Taunton, MA — Motion Control Products – The surgical system itself requires only the use of two 8- and one 12-mm wide hole in a patient, for insertion of the two surgical manipulators and a camera. Only the robot and surgical assistants stand over the patient, while the surgeon, the system operator, can be across the room at the Surgeon’s console where even the look and feel of the open surgery is duplicated with precision.

Motion Control – Precision Shafting

E. Longmeadow, MA – Motion Control  — LM76 offers extremely competitive pricing on all types of precision shafting: round, hollow, predrilled, continuous support extrusions, predrilled & assembled shafting. We specialize in standard linear shafting: RC60/Class L Linear Shafting, 300 series s/s Linear Shafting. For most applications, RC60/Class L is the linear shafting of choice with all LM76 linear bearing styles: Minuteman, Ceramic Coated and FDA/USDA compatible.

When using a linear motion self lube linear bearing of any kind PTFE like our industry leading Minuteman™ linear bearing, remember that non-lubricated linear shafting will oxidize and rust. LM76’s soft 300 series stainless linear shafting ( RB25 ) is a natural selection for both our Minuteman™ and FDA/USDA compliant linear bearings where washdown and chemical resistance are a must.  To you help select the best shafting and bearings for your application review carefully the “Selection Guide” below:
